combit introduces List & Label 32 with AI-powered reporting features

Oct 16, 2026 | 2026, Press Releases

The new version integrates AI directly into reporting workflows while giving development teams control over models and infrastructure.

Constance, October 15, 2026 – combit today announced List & Label 32, the latest version of its reporting component for software development. The release adds AI-powered features to reporting workflows, along with enhancements for cross-platform reporting, web applications, accessibility, export, and emailing.

A key focus of List & Label 32 is the integration of artificial intelligence into everyday reporting tasks. With the new AI formula wizard, users can describe the calculation or logic they need in natural language and automatically generate the corresponding List & Label formula. This makes even sophisticated report logic more accessible and reduces the effort involved in creating formulas manually.

AI features are also available within reporting workflows. Reports can be summarized or translated directly in the preview. In addition, the new AIText$() and AIImage() functions make it possible to integrate dynamically generated text and images into report layouts.

At the same time, control remains a key priority. AI functionality is optional, allowing development teams to decide whether and how to use it. They also retain control over the AI model they use and the underlying infrastructure.

“AI can deliver real value in reporting when it supports development teams and users while keeping them in control,” says Jochen Bartlau, Managing Director and Head of Development for List & Label at combit. “With List & Label 32, we want to make recurring reporting tasks easier and more intuitive while providing the flexibility to decide how and where AI is used.”

Further technical innovations for .NET, web, cross-platform, and export:

  • Cross-platform reporting: Support for editable Word exports, PDF objects, multi-column subtables, and much more.
  • More stable web sessions: Improved reliability for browser-based reporting applications.
  • Accessible PDFs: New PDF/UA support enables the creation of accessible documents, which are increasingly mandatory.
  • Smaller Excel files: Optimized exports reduce file size.
  • Improved email workflows: A new email editor simplifies SMTP-based distribution of reports.
  • .NET 11 support: Full support for the latest .NET generation from day one.

The different editions of List & Label are available starting from 790 EUR. All information about the new version and the free trial version can be found here.
